Pesto Pasta with Green Beans

This dish is a must to be served in summer when basil is most fragrant and green beans are in season!

Ingredients

* Switch between cup/oz and g/ml in Account Settings*

  • Fusilli Pasta Fusilli Pasta 320g 2 cups
  • Green Beans Green Beans 200g 1 & 1/3 cups
  • Basil Pesto Basil Pesto 120g 1/2 cup
  • Table Salt Table Salt seasoning seasoning
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil Extra Virgin Olive Oil 2 tbsp 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. 1.Cook the paste with a little salt, into boiling water, then add the green beans to the boiling water 5 minutes before it's time to drain the pasta.
  2. 2.When ready turn off the heat and drain immediately – reserving a little of cooking water.
  3. 3.Return the pasta and beans to the empty pan and stir through with the pesto to taste. Use a little of the pasta cooking water to loosen the mix if needed.
  4. 4.Serve immediately.
  5. 5.For vegetarians combine with a generous sprinkling of Parmigiano cheese.
