Stir-Fried Tofu with shallot and extra virgin olive oil is a quick and simple way to give tofu more texture and flavor. Peas and sesame seeds will add color and make it even tastier. Perfect as a light dinner or appetizing side dish.

- Tofu Tofu 200g 4/5 cup
- Frozen Peas Frozen Peas 400g 2 & 1/3 cups
- Shallot Shallot 1 1
- Rice Cakes Rice Cakes 4 4
- Sesame Seeds Sesame Seeds 2 tbsp 2 tbsp
- Table Salt Table Salt to taste to taste
- Ground Black Pepper Ground Black Pepper to taste to taste
Instructions
- 1.In a wok or large deep frying pan, warm the extra virgin olive oil and sauté shallot over medium-high heat until lightly browned.
- 2.Add frozen peas directly from out the freezer and cook for almost 10-15 minutes, adding a little water if needed.
- 3.Then add tofu cubes and let go until it is golden brown on all sides, 4–5 minutes.
- 4.Season with salt and pepper and combine the sesame seeds cooking for the last 1–2 minutes over high heat. Serve over hot jasmine rice, or simply accompany with rice cakes.
