Red Wine Chocolate Cake

Indulgent and flavorful, this chocolate cake is infused with strawberries, vanilla tones and red wine. A wonderful vegan dessert for those special occasions!

- Wheat Flour Wheat Flour 180g 1 & 1/2 cups
- Unsweetened Cocoa Powder Unsweetened Cocoa Powder 35g 1/3 cup
- Baking Powder Baking Powder 2 tsp 2 tsp
- Table Salt Table Salt 1/2 tsp 1/2 tsp
- Olive Oil Olive Oil 80ml 1/3 cup
- Strawberry Jam Strawberry Jam 450g 1 & 1/3 cups
- Red Wine Red Wine 250ml 1 cup
- Vanilla Extract Vanilla Extract 1 tsp 1 tsp
- Strawberries Strawberries 50g 1/3 cup
Instructions
- 1.Preheat oven to 150c.
- 2.Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl.
- 3.Combine wet ingredients in a medium bowl.
- 4.Pour wet ingredients over dry ingredients and whisk to combine.
- 5.Pour batter in a greased springform cake pan and bake for 45min, until inserted toothpick comes out clean.
- 6.Optional: Repeat previous steps to add a second layer.
- 7.Allow cake to cool.
- 8.Two layers: Spread strawberry jam on first layer and top with second layer.
- 9.Dust cake top with cocoa and garnish with fresh strawberries.
